Due to human error, ie. my tendency to not plan…. I am unable to make it to Newfoundland this journey! I am meeting my friends Emily & Diana in New York on September 21st and did not factor in the time to catch the ferry to Argentia (it only runs once a week!). I will be back one day….. I am thinking: start in St. Johns, ride across Newfoundland and then return for the Cabot Trail and a greater exploration of the Maritimes. Perhaps earlier in the season….. it is starting to get cold!! Frost in the morning!

Hi Deanna, I arrived home from work today and found Alex sitting with his dad at the picnic table having a beer. It was so great to see him. We shall have many dinner discussions about this wonderful journey. I have been so grateful that he met you on his travels and I was able to follow via your blog.
